Milwaukee County Busted Mugshots is a private reference, not a government office. It cannot verify custody or release, post bond, release anyone, or obtain an official booking record. Contact the public office that holds the record or status directly.

Official Milwaukee County Contacts

Choose the office by the question being asked. The Sheriff's Public Records Division handles MCSO and Milwaukee County Jail documents, while the Jail Records Office is the appropriate route for occupant-information questions and bail assistance. A county booking record is not the same as a city police report, court case, DOC record, or federal-custody record.

Public Records Division

Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office Public Records Division

Phone: (414) 226-7085
Email: MCSOopenrecords@milwaukeecountywi.gov

Use the division's official online request path, email, mail, fax, or counter for a specific MCSO or Milwaukee County Jail booking photograph or document. Its published booking-photo fee is $1.50. MCSO does not publish a fixed turnaround time, so ask the office for an estimate when the request needs review or redaction.

For an adult who may be in the county jail now, begin with the official Milwaukee County In Custody Locator. It is a present-custody lookup, not a released-person archive. Jail Records can answer occupant-information questions and assist with bail, but it is not a substitute for a formal document request.

Where to Route Other Questions

The official routes below cover different custody and record states. A missing locator result does not by itself prove release, transfer, dismissal, or any other outcome.

For immediate danger or an emergency, call 911. A person with a possible court-issued warrant should contact an attorney or the issuing court rather than relying on an unofficial search result.
